British Properties has long supported and sponsored arts, culture and recreational events and activities in West Vancouver. At festivals of film, arts, lights—and even pumpkins!—along with fundraising bike and road races for charity and much much more, we stand together with our community to create a better region.
The 15th annual Cypress Mountain Hill Climb, raising funds for North Shore Rescue, Marine Rescue and Rotary projects with take place on May 30, 2026 this year. Similar to past years, the cycling event will have a course for road and ebikes, as well as a separate dirt trail for mountain bikers. As a founding sponsor of this ride, we look forward to participating and seeing you there.
Our annual Plein Air Painting Competition (July 29 – July 30, 2025) and Exhibition (August 1 – 10, 2025), held in association with West Vancouver’s Harmony Arts Festival, invited 16 past winners to paint the tranquil, natural beauty of Lower Hollyburn Mountain. Winning artwork was selected by a panel of judges, and all artwork produced from the Competition was displayed at the Festival.
BC Cancer Foundation Annual Capilano Volkswagen Cypress Challenge
The Challenge was established in 2008 to raise awareness and support for pancreatic cancer research and care at BC Cancer. It attracts some 30 teams and more than 600 riders to a 12-km climb up Cypress Mountain. British Properties is proud to have been an event sponsor from 2018 to 2024.
Canuck Place is a caring, innovative children’s hospice and community-based service that fully embraces the life of each child and family. British Properties is honoured to have supported this important cause by providing Cypress Village Pop-Up as a private venue for one of their signature events, a showing of classic and contemporary cars.
The Cypress Village Speaker Series invited distinguished thinkers in urban planning, economics and even happiness to explore our community’s future as part of the Upper Lands planning process.
