West Vancouver Memorial Library’s annual Fundraising Event features talks from authors and live concerts while raising funds for the library’s programs and initiatives. Even while in-person events were cancelled during the pandemic, West Vancouver Library continued the fundraiser virtually through an online author series and concerts.

Harmony Arts Festival is an annual community-oriented event that celebrates culinary, visual and performing arts, featuring the best of West Vancouver. Paint on the Mountain is British Pacific Properties’ annual Plein Air Painting Competition and Exhibition in association with West Vancouver’s Harmony Arts Festival. Now in its ninth consecutive year, this event selects twelve artists to paint the serene, natural beauty of Lower Hollyburn Mountain. To kick off 2021, we celebrated the impact of design on our lives and supported the West Vancouver Art Museum by helping to bring Cornelia Hahn Oberlander’s Genius Loci exhibit to West Vancouver. Trailblazing modernist landscape architect Cornelia Oberlander is the recipient of many honours, including the Companion of the Order of Canada and the highest award from both the American Society of Landscape Architects and the International Federation of Landscape Architects.

In support of local businesses and charities in West Vancouver, British Pacific Properties launched the “We’ll Get Through This Together” online campaign which aims to engage the community through social media and online activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a long-time community partner, BPP has regularly engaged in multiple fundraising activities and participated in many community events with local charities and organizations throughout the year. In lieu of being able to support these organizations as we traditionally have, BPP launched this online series to stay engaged and highlight these initiatives.

To celebrate this significant milestone, the Gallery showcased a special, commemorative mixed media group exhibition featuring a collection of artists who have we have been exhibited in the past.
